LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Orange Cassidy does what he wants to do, and for the weekend of the big game in Las Vegas, he wants to fight — kind of.
“I decided to get one of my friends […] who looks like a football player —which is a bad idea,” Cassidy said. The friend he’s referring to is Tomohiro Ishii, and the match is for Cassidy’s AEW International Championship. It’s a title that “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy said has seen a transformation during his reign.
“It’s just crazy to think about what this championship means now from when I first won it from PAC,” Cassidy said. “It really didn’t have an identity, and I just thought — well, just do what you want to do, do what you have been doing.”

Orange Cassidy, a man of leisure and, some would say, laziness, burrowed his way into the hearts of pro wrestling fans with his “sloth-style” of fighting and laid-back mentality. He fights out of “wherever” and weighs in at “whatever.” Since his introduction to All Elite Wrestling fans in Las Vegas in 2019 at the company’s Double or Nothing tentpole event, Cassidy has found luck in the entertainment capital of the world.
“For some reason, I do very, very well in Vegas, and my odds are very, very good,” Cassidy said.
He’ll see if his luck holds against Ishii on Saturday in Henderson at the Dollar Loan Center Arena. Tickets for AEW Collision are available now and start as low as $20.
