LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Hot on the heels of a 2023 Tony Award nomination for her role as Anne in the hit Broadway musical “& Juliet,” Betsy Wolfe plans to bring a bold and intimate performance to Las Vegas in October.

Aside from currently starring in “& Juliet,” Wolfe has been seen across Broadway in high-profile productions like the Tony-nominated musical Waitress, a revival of Falsettos, and off-Broadway in a critically acclaimed role as Cathy in The Last Five Years. While rewarding, Wolfe said the rigorous schedule of a Broadway musical limited her ability to perform at smaller scales and in other cities.

“I love to get into a slightly smaller, intimate space, tell stories, and just sing and engage with the audience,” Wolfe said. “It is my favorite thing to do to come and just be with a smaller audience, engage with them, and truly provide one of those once-in-a-blue-moon experiences that the audience knows is only happening that night.”

That opportunity will come at Myron’s at The Smith Center, the venue’s 240-seat cabaret, where Wolfe will make her return to Las Vegas. The performer promises to perform songs she might have previously shied away from.

“I’m most excited in 2024 to give Vegas […] the ballsier choices that I would have said maybe no to [previously,]” Wolfe said.

The new setlist is partially a result of life changes for the Tony nominee. Since her last visit to Las Vegas, Wolfe has achieved professional heights and reached personal landmarks. In 2020, Wolfe and her husband, Adam Krauthamer, welcomed the couple’s child Poppy. It’s a life development that will likely play into the storytelling the performer said she loves to integrate into her performances.

“I just love sharing stories of things that I think are super interesting, that oftentimes no one asks about,” Wolfe said, adding that she would integrate her brand of humor into the performance. “I’ve loved that people [at cabaret shows] have always said, ‘I didn’t realize you were so funny.’”

Wolfe was sure to call all the “theater kids” across the Las Vegas valley, especially at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, to come and join her at the Smith Center.

“You’d better be there,” she said.

Wolfe performs at Myron’s at the Smith Center on Oct. 24 and 25. Tickets for the shows are available at The Smith Center’s website. Wolfe can be found on social media, via Instagram and TikTok.
