‘The Strip is like nothing else’ WWE superstar Chelsea Green talks WrestleMania’s return to Las Vegas

WWE WrestleMania is set to take over Las Vegas in April for a second consecutive year. For women’s United States champion Chelsea Green, that means a return to a very important place in her personal story.

“When people hear Las Vegas wedding, they think of a quickie wedding, and it was not a quickie wedding,” Green told FOX5. “It was like, you know, the full shebang.”

On New Year’s Eve 2021, Green and fellow professional wrestler Zack Ryder (also known as Matt Cardona) were wed at the former Tropicana Las Vegas. She said the location was accessible to both performers’ families, who originated from opposite coasts.

“It was amazing, really. It wasn’t a wedding as much as it was a big New Year’s Eve party,” she said.

Another Vegas party set for April: WrestleMania 42. The first-ever women’s United States Champion, and one-half of the current AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions with “All Ego” Ethan Page, Green said the Las Vegas Strip’s unique energy helped elevate the event in 2025, as it should in 2026.

“The Strip is like nothing else,” she said. “The energy in Las Vegas is already ten out of ten, so to then have all the wrestling fans in the world coming to the Strip and celebrating, it felt like a mix of Las Vegas meets, WrestleMania meets Mardi Gras meets Calgary Stampede meets every festival you could possibly ever imagine.”

As individual tickets to the “showcase of the immortals” go on sale on Black Friday, Green joked that since fans are already spending money on the shopping holiday, they might as well grab tickets to WrestleMania as well.

“If you tell me you’re not on Amazon doing an Amazon wish list, you’re lying,” Green said. “So instead of buying a purse or a nice little tracksuit or one of your appliances, how about you just go get a ticket to see me on April 18th or 19th?”

As for what Green is looking forward to, she expressed hope for a full WWE return for a superstar who is “always ready.”

“Let’s just take a moment to cross our fingers and manifest an amazing, amazing Zack Ryder return,” she said. “I could hear the fans’ reactions, and now I’m ready for a return.”

Individual tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 28, at 6 a.m. on Ticketmaster, and fans who purchase tickets on Black Friday will receive a limited-edition t-shirt inspired by the recently released Las Vegas-themed commercial promoting the event. The Black Friday t-shirt offer ends at 11:59 p.m. on Friday.
